"Searchable PDF Converter" desktop application ("the Software") handles your data.
The Short Version
We do not collect, store, or transmit your documents or
personal information. The Software runs 100% locally on your machine. Your files never leave
your computer.
2. Data Collection and Processing
2.1. Document Processing
The Software uses local Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology (Tesseract and docTR) to
process your images and PDFs.
- Local Processing: All operations are performed on your computer's CPU/GPU.
- No Cloud Uploads: The Software does not upload your documents to any cloud
server, third-party API, or external database.
- No Telemetry: We do not track app usage, button clicks, or file content.
2.2. Internet Connection
The Software operates entirely offline and does not require or initiate any internet connections.
3. Local Data Storage
The Software stores minimal data locally on your device solely for functionality. This data is
not shared with the Developer or any third parties.
- Usage Data (usage.json): In the Free Tier, an encrypted local file tracks
processed pages and files within the rolling 30-day limit. It contains no personal
information. Deleting this file resets the limit to zero, with full restoration (20 files)
after 30 days.
- License Data: Stored to verify app status (Free or Premium); includes no
identifiable details.
- Audit Reports: Premium users can generate CSV files saved to your chosen
output folder. These are for your records only and are not transmitted.
- Open-Source Components: The Software includes third-party open-source
libraries (Tesseract OCR and docTR) licensed under the Apache License 2.0. These components
run locally on your device and do not collect, transmit, or share any data. Full license
texts and attribution notices are included in the installation folder.
4. Payments and Personal Information
The Software is distributed via Gumroad.
- Payment Processing: All transactions are handled securely by Gumroad. We do
not access your credit card or payment details.
- Customer Info: Gumroad shares your email and name only for transaction
verification and potential product updates (e.g., via optional memberships). We do not sell,
share, or use this for marketing without consent.

5. Your Rights (GDPR and Similar Laws)
As the Software processes data locally, you maintain full control and ownership. If you are in
the EU or a region with similar data protection laws (e.g., GDPR), your rights include:
- Access and Portability: You already have direct access to all processed
data (output PDFs and CSVs).
- Rectification and Restriction: Edit or restrict processing by
modifying/deleting your local files.
- Erasure ("Right to Be Forgotten"): Uninstall the Software and delete the
installation folder to remove all associated data.
- Objection: Contact us if you object to any aspect (though no automated
processing occurs). We do not process personal data beyond what's stored locally, so no data
subject access requests are typically needed.
6. Children's Privacy
The Software is not intended for children under 13 (or equivalent age under local laws). We do
not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a child has used the Software, contact us
for removal instructions.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect Software changes or legal requirements. The latest version
will be included in app updates or posted on our Gumroad page. Continued use after changes
implies acceptance.
